Trans_Script – Continuum

In the organizer's words:

The CONTINUUM ensemble is a master of the fine art of musical arrangements of baroque and contemporary works. Having previously focused on boiling down large-scale works to their essence, the new project "Trans_Script" pursues the plan of arranging solo works by Johann Sebastian Bach for a chamber music formation. The musicians are looking for original ways to transform the sound of Bach's organ works. They preserve the structure and effects of the originals, but transform them into surprising timbres using unusual instruments such as cornett, pitch percussion and viola da gamba. The inspiration came from Allen Ginsberg's poem "Transcription of Organ Music".
