lucid is the trio of Hamburg guitarist Niklas Werk. With influences ranging from Ambrose Akinmusire to Aphex Twin, from Jakob Bro to Paul Motian, the guitarist's own compositions create contemporary jazz. Nostalgic soundscapes meet delicate chamber music interplay, rock grooves meet lyrical melodies. Together with Lucas Kolbe (b) and Bastian Menz (dr), the trio combines electronic and acoustic elements, thus realizing their idea of a multi-layered yet tangible sound world.
