Trojan Horse

In the organizer's words:

The war has gone on too long. How can it finally end? Not on the battlefield - but with a trick. A clever move. This includes gaining control over the interpretation of the truth...

The Trojan Horse stands for one of the most famous strokes of strategic genius - the legendary wooden horse from antiquity in which the Greeks hide in order to be smuggled to Troy. It is the original feint and illustrates how staging and the manipulation of news can decide the course of war. Post Theater - with media artist Hiroko Tanahashi and theater maker Max Schumacher - has examined this myth and developed an immersive, media experience from it - fitting for a world today in which a battle is raging over the construction of reality.

In "Trojan Horse", the audience becomes Greek soldiers who are placed inside the Trojan Horse to experience the story from there. To this end, Post Theater has recreated the wooden horse and designed a performance course that combines 3D video technology, surround sound, music, acting and dance. In the belly of the horse, the audience experiences in the flesh, from the perspective of the participants, what connects the myth with our time.

The audience meets Odysseus, Agamemnon, Helen, Cassandra, Priam, Hecuba and many other "heroes" of one of the most frequently told stories - only to experience them in a completely different way. It immerses you in a strange world in which whoever wins determines what is "true".
