Theatrical live radio play for blind and sighted people | 60 minutes
GRUSEL is a theatrical live radio play for blind and sighted people aged 8 and over. The theater space becomes a strange place with crackling corners and creaking doors. Sounds create strange worlds and strange figures appear - or seem to be very close to you.
Sometimes it can be dark and sometimes very loud. The wind can blow through your hair or an ice-cold hand can touch your shoulder. You will encounter strange adults, ghosts and monsters, as well as strange adults and real dangers and, of course, a good ghost. But don't worry: nothing will happen to you. Maybe you'll get goosebumps and maybe you'll laugh at your own horror.
pulk fiktion is in search of the pleasurable horror and attempts to give the fantastic horrors as well as the real horrors of the world a pleasurable performance.
In GRUSEL, theatrical live radio play means that the audience sits together on stage and listens to something through headphones, but also experiences things in the room at the same time.
GRUSEL was awarded the WESTWIND Children's Jury Prize and the Specialist Jury Prize 2024.
Ensemble23, part of the curation team:
"The ensemble liked the approach of conveying content through sensory experiences and incorporating the senses of touch and hearing, for example. The ensemble also liked the documentary audio clips of children talking about their fears, which made them more identifiable in the audience space."
The TURBO youth jury:
"We particularly liked the interaction with the audience and the children's voices. The realization was also very well thought out. We had a lot of fun watching it and the length was also very good. Very funny design."

TURBO - that's the name of our drive for more inclusive theater, our participatory workshop for explorers and our utopia factory for change. Because we think so: Theater is for everyone!
On four consecutive festival days, we ask each other the following questions: How does inclusive theater for young audiences work? Turbo-drive or turbo-snail? What do we need more of and what do we leave behind?
In the second edition of our inclusive dance and theater festival, we enter new destinations into our navigation system and pass the steering wheel on to the people it affects the most: experts with disabilities and young people were our jury and decided together what will be performed on stage during the festival days. We do research and think about it: What happens to theater when it is designed for all the senses right from the start?
We invite you: To guest performances from German-speaking countries - by, for and with people with disabilities, to a symposium and various workshops. Celebrate with us at our breakfast party and experience an inclusive dance and theater program for young audiences with TURBO.
All this is TURBO 2025!
