ÜberKopf - ein performativer Stadtspaziergang

See the city with different eyes and rediscover Munich's corners. You can experience this at ÜberKopf - a performative city walk on the weekend of September 14 and 15, 2024.

"What interesting places are there in Munich and how can I use them differently than usual? How can circus take place in everyday places?"

Six Munich artists set off with this question in mind. The various corners and small niches provided inspiration and so a unique, site-specific performance was developed for each location. The opportunities on site, such as benches, railings and fences, are used and played with the language of the circus. Each artist thus brings a place to life and allows the audience to see it with different eyes. The result is a mixture of contemporary circus, movement art and theater, which can be seen during the performative city walk.

• ÜberKopf takes place on the weekend of September 14 & 15, 2024

• Several performances per day

  • Saturday, September 14 at 1 p.m., 3.30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

  • Sunday, September 15 at 3.30 pm and 6.00 pm

• ÜberKopf can only take place as an open-air event in dry conditions

• The city walk is approx. 2 kilometers long and lasts approx. 90 minutes

• The route starts at the European Patent Office and ends at the Fat Cat (old Gasteig)

• One performance location is only accessible via stairs

• Participation is free, but registration is required as a certain group size may not be exceeded.
