Comedian Uli Boettcher is coming to the Kulturhaus Schwanen with his new program "Herr der Zwinge" on Saturday, 8 November 2025 at 8 pm. Experience an evening full of funny stories and anecdotes from the chaotic everyday life of a hobby craftsman.

Boettcher, who describes himself as an "unshakeable universal dilettante", talks from his toolbox and doesn't mince his words. He reports on modest successes and crushing defeats, because how often is a promising project brought to a halt by the last screw?

"Herr der Zwinge" is a humorous homage to all DIY enthusiasts who head to places of pilgrimage such as Toom or OBI on Saturdays, buy tools they can barely use and disappear happily into their hobby basements. A song of praise to the optimistic person who grinds instead of grumbles, builds instead of complains, does instead of grumbles.
