Umsonst & Draußen 2025 Stuttgart

In the organizer's words:

Umsonst & Draußen is the largest non-commercial music, political and cultural festival in Stuttgart. It sees itself as the big festival of Stuttgart's left-wing and alternative scene. It is organized by an open plenum where anyone can come and join in. The organizer is the specially founded Umsonst & Draußen Kultur e.V. Stuttgart. However, planning, preparation, design and organization are the responsibility of the plenum.

Umsonst & Draußen is largely self-financed through the sale of food and drinks. However, because we have immense costs and still don't want to sell beer, fizzy drinks, sausages and falafel at ridiculous prices, we also need some additional sponsorship and support; it also receives funding from the city of Stuttgart and the Stuttgart Vaihingen district authority. Nevertheless, the festival is largely self-financed.

The U&D does not make any profits, nobody earns from it. In order to finance the event through food and drink sales, it is important that everyone buys their food from us and does not bring it with them. There is no fence and no admission controls - we trust in your fairness. Don't drink any traitor beer and/or donate something to the empty cash box.

Everyone works for free, the bands play for a fee, many companies and stores supply us at cost price, and if the queues at the beer or juice stands get too long, you have to wait or help out.

In the info village, the information stands of political groups and initiatives provide an insight into their work and what is going on in Stuttgart. We particularly welcome all refugees and people fighting for asylum. Because no one is illegal.
