Umsonst und Draußen in der Überseestadt: Flohmarkt-Saison startet im Quartier

Neighborhood, sustainability, bargain hunting and family fun - in April, "Jetzt Hier Quartiersentwicklung" will once again open the flea market season in the neighborhood. Three dates at three different locations in the middle of the neighborhood are on the agenda, each Sunday on 28 April, 14 July and 13 October from 11 am to 4 pm.

The street flea market will start on April 28 in Schwabensteinstraße, in the immediate vicinity of the Blue Caravan. Here, visitors have the opportunity to rummage for treasures and enjoy the colorful hustle and bustle. The Blue Caravan opens its doors on this Sunday and invites you to linger with coffee and cake for a donation.

The next flea market on July 14 will take place in cooperation with the Überseekirche and Gewoba on the Überseewiese on Konsul-Smidt-Straße. The Überseewiese is one of the few open spaces in the district. The Überseekirche offers a hands-on garden here. Between the raised beds, a stone labyrinth and with a volleyball court, there will be additional fun on this Sunday. Gewoba also surprises with a free round of ice cream for all neighbors on this date.

The season ends with the flea market in Überseepark, right next to the sports garden. On the part of the park directly on the Weser, the meadow is transformed into a large, colorful market that invites the neighborhood to come together, stroll and chat. Children are particularly welcome at all flea markets, as the Mobile Atelier will be present at all locations. Wherever the Mobile Atelier goes, an open-air art workshop for children is created in no time at all.

The flea markets are very popular in the neighborhood and offer a great opportunity for the residents of the ever-growing district to meet, talk and get to know each other. Sellers do not pay a stall fee at these flea markets. If required, neighbors can even borrow beer tent sets as sales tables (the number is limited). Anyone can register. Registration is possible around four weeks before the dates via the homepage www.jetzthier.eu.

The flea markets are organized by "Jetzt Hier Quartiersentwicklung", a project of Kultur Vor Ort e.V., which is funded by the Senator for Labour, Social Affairs, Youth and Integration.
