UNDUZO | Of men, donkeys and Mary
Sat 21.12. | 20:00 | Hall
Who is the scrap metal gnome? How did the parents of the orphans from the Orient die? Why does Santa Claus always shout "Ho-Ho-Ho"?
The band UNDUZO takes on the supreme discipline of singing: their own Christmas program! Complete madness! Because Christmas and the Advent season are a symbolic minefield: firmly cemented traditions come crashing down on the stoic Christmas grouch ... and the nerve-wracking scent of old gingerbread spices and incense smokers is always in the air.
"Von Männern, Eseln und Maria" offers everyone a common denominator and manages the balancing act of well-known, rearranged classics and self-written stories, which, typically UNDUZO, are sometimes presented sensitively, sometimes with a wink. Not always traditional, but with a high recognition value. The audience is - quite peacefully - involved in the concert and lovingly led around by the nose.
The press writes about flawless set singing, confident playing with the microphone, fabulous beatboxing, excellent songwriting between slapstick and poetry as well as a first-class stage show that skillfully wraps the audience around its finger from the first moderation, the first join-in animation, the first note.
