Unibigband Leipzig

The Unibigband Leipzig has been enriching the musical diversity in the trade fair city of Leipzig for eighteen years. The ensemble has made a name for itself with performances at the Leipziger naTo, the UT Connewitz and the concert series "Hörsaal-Konzerte". University music, which can look back on a long tradition, thus also plays a not inconsiderable part in the Leipzig jazz scene.

The internationally acclaimed 20-strong band consists mainly of students from a wide range of disciplines and impresses audiences with its musical standards. Under the direction of Leipzig saxophonist Reiko Brockelt, the band plays swing standards, Latin jazz and modern jazz compositions, some of which were composed especially for the band.
