The 13th century from two perspectives: The music and dance of the Sufi orders that were just being formed at the time encounter the songs of the followers of St. Francis of Assisi. Both communities formed around the same time and show clear parallels: Like the Sufi mystics, Francis of Assisi also recognized the direct and indissoluble connection between man and creation. At the center of the performance are Christian and Muslim songs of praise: the Sufi and Laude songs as well as instrumental Sufi music, to which the dancer Janan Almasi will dance. She is one of the few women who dance the dances of the dervishes. The texts by al-Hallādsch & Ibn al-Fārid and Francis of Assisi create a common arc up to the present day.
