FOR FREE & INSIDE: UNORTHODOX RADIO

With the band Unorthodox Radio, the name says it all: pop melodies that could come from the radio are provided with "unorthodox" arrangements.

The five musicians are inspired by various genres, but above all by R'n'B, neo-soul and jazz. Add to this rousing grooves, freely improvised solos and catchy melodies et voilá: The result is contemporary and multi-faceted pop songs.

Singer Michaela Fröhlich processes a range of positive and negative experiences in her songs, be it stories about love, self-doubt or simple everyday events. Together with saxophonist and arranger Armin Jambor, the lyrics and melodies are wrapped in a modern pop music guise. The two are inspired by various artists such as Robert Glasper, Erykah Badu and Stevie Wonder. Together with Gregor Spener on drums, Hrvoje Kralj on bass and Benjamin Foris on keys, the band is complete.
