Untergang einer Klinik - ein Live Hörspiel

In the organizer's words:

Slow Club proudly presents: A live radio play with Hörwerke e.V.

Sit down, close your eyes, open your ears and experience a live radio play! If you want to see how radio plays are made, you can of course open your eyes again and follow how sounds and voices are woven into a tangible story on the Slow Club stage. It will be interesting to see where this acoustic journey will take us.

Emil (17) has been stuck in an extremely bizarre clinic for three years. Isolated from the world, a very special society has established itself there. Problems with the system have led the patients to the facility, from where they try to overthrow it. Despite this, a supposedly routine everyday life develops. But when Réka, who is also 17 years old, is admitted to the clinic, everything changes. She feels trapped and only wants one thing: to persuade Emil to escape. An exciting ups and downs full of friendship, philosophy and criticism of the worlds inside and outside the clinic walls begins.

Editor's note*:
"Downfall of a Clinic" is also about mental illness as well as its treatments. Both are different in reality than portrayed in the play. Rehabilitation clinics and all their staff are valuable institutions. Mental illness is a serious issue that affects society as a whole.
*We have nothing but respect for all people (except Nazis)!

Hörwerke e.V.
"Hörwerke" is a Freiburg association for all people who are enthusiastic about radio plays. The members write and produce their own radio plays, which are published and performed live.
Here, interested people can train their voice and acting skills, learn audio editing and radio technology, take part in performances and regular meetings and much more, all under professional guidance.
