VERA KLIMA

In the organizer's words:

Being on the road has always been a central theme in Vera Klima's music, and so the title of her new EP is a good indication of this: "Angekommen" (Arrived) is the name of the six-song work in which the successful songwriter reflects the latest stages of her life with her usual sensitivity.

Vera's Ankommen is about the big, the fundamental, the essential themes. Yes, they still exist, the painful experiences, the unfulfilled longing in "Vorbeigehen" or the painful loss of a loved one. She sings "I want to be there" about it, she wants to give support, she who has searched so oP for support herself. The recurring long pains are also still there, but Vera Klima has learned that they are not permanent. "Du kennst das" is the name of the song in which she sheds light on her melancholy phases and in the end has "pockets full of happiness" again. Perhaps because she has finally "arrived" and has finally found solid ground under her feet in a relationship and the new life experience of marriage. A ground that gives her support as she now holds a new life in her own hands: her first child.

"Mein Morgen" is the most touching song on the EP, a song about one of the most fundamental human experiences: Giving life, becoming a MuSer. She captures this incredibly great experience, almost beyond words, with tender tones and sentences from the center of the heart. The great success of her song "Schwesterherz" has proven how well Vera Klima can transform such archetypal female feelings into music. With each album, she opens up a new chapter in her life. "Angekommen" may be the shortest of these, but it is the most intense and mature to date.

Vera Klima lives with her husband and daughter in Wasserburg am Inn, plays several instruments and has already toured with artists such as Max Mutzke, Andreas Bourani and Alanis MorisseSe. "Angekommen" will be released on 20.10.2023 via "Wanderlust Recordings a Division of Wanderlust-Entertainment GmbH", funded by the "Initiative Musik gemeinnützige Projektgesellschaft GmbH" with project funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
