Verdrängung stoppen, Lösungen schaffen: (weibliche) Obdachlosigkeit im Kontext aktueller Bremer Entscheidungen

Janita-Marja Juvonen reads from her book "DIE ANDEREN: Die harte Realität der Obdachlosigkeit" at Kukoon Bremen. Since its publication in summer 2023, the author has been traveling across Germany - always with the aim of opening eyes and raising awareness of the realities of people without a home. Back in February this year, we were able to invite Janita to give a reading followed by a panel discussion. Due to the high attendance, the positive feedback and current political developments in Bremen, we are now going into a second round. This time, the focus is on the policy of displacement, which pushes homeless people out of the public space through bans, begging bans and so-called "defensive architecture". In the subsequent panel discussion, we will ask ourselves: What consequences do these measures have for those affected and what solutions are possible?
