The award ceremony for the Munich 2024 Poetry Prize will take place on
Tuesday, December 3, 7 p.m., at the Stiftung Lyrik Kabinett, Amalienstraße 83 a, 80799 Munich (U3/U6 station Universität)
On this evening, the Munich Poetry Prize, which has been awarded since 2010 and has been presented by APHAIA Verlag together with Signaturen Magazin since 2021, will be presented to the main prize winner Steffen Popp. In addition, the first Munich 2024 Poetry Prize - Young Poetry will be presented.
The theme of this year's competition was "One saves the world, the other moves it - what do poetry and technology have to say to each other today?". Among the more than 800 entries, poet, essayist and novelist Steffen Popp won over the jury with his cycle of poems "Sieben Stufen Nacht".
On the evening of the award ceremony, the accompanying anthology will also be presented for the first time, in which, in addition to the award-winning poems, a selection of other remarkable poetry on the competition theme can be found.
