An art installation
UHLFELDER - a room installation in the Artothek, on the site where the Uhlfelder family's department store with Munich's first escalator was once located. Taken up as a work of art, it functions here as an intellectual motor and time machine against the backdrop of the expropriation of the Jewish owners in the 1930s, but also stands for a desire for technology, new beginnings and movement.
