Vernissage „Wolodymyr Ivasyuk & 30 Jahre Chrenova Ruta“

In the 1960s, the new music style "funk" emerged in the Ukrainian Carpathian region and, despite the distinctly Ukrainian sound, the band Smerichka and the young poet and composer Volodymyr Ivasyuk from Chernivtsi were at the top of the Soviet "hit parades" for a long time.

In the groundbreaking year of 1989, the phenomenon of Ivasyuk, whose life ended tragically in 1979, played a key role at the first festival of Ukrainian music "Chervona Ruta" in Chernivtsi (named after his biggest hit). It became legendary and to this day stands for the democratic upheavals in Ukraine, in which the participants played an active role. Volodymyr Ivasyuk would be 75 years old in 2024.
