Beautiful and functional

At the end of November, the foundation's building will be transformed into an exhibition platform for virology - and the interplay between art and science. "It's nice to be able to see the funded projects for once," says the Tönjes-Vagt-Stiftung, an important science foundation in Bremen. For example, it supports Professor Sebastian Springer's virus research at Constructor University.

Invitation

We cordially invite you to the vernissage of our new exhibition in the gallery of the Stiftungshaus on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 18:00. The exhibition is part of the cooperation format "Visionskultur X Stiftungshaus": Here, creative projects from the Visionskultur community and the Creative Hub Bremen meet the Bremen foundation community in the Stiftungshaus.

Virus X Human

The exhibition shows the results of the collaboration between artist Heike Seyffarth and Professor Sebastian Springer, head of the Molecular Immunology working group at Constructor University Bremen. Based on various research topics, the beauty and impressive functionality of viruses are shown and supplemented with information on research. Artistic adaptations and visualizations combine science and art and round off the exhibition.

Vernissage

After the welcome, Professor Springer will give a thematic impulse. Heike Seyffarth will then introduce the exhibition. Three thematically appropriate projects from the Creative Hub will also be presented. Afterwards, we will have time to chat over a glass of wine and snacks.
