Vollmaier is a Slovenian pianist who is best known for his bold solo projects, which he combines with various fields of art. His most notable solo projects are "Vollmaier:Kind of Laibach" and "Vollmaier:Ligeti (How to explain Ligeti to a dead audience)", both premiered at Cankarjev dom. His personal breakthroughs have shown that he is able to play within different boundaries - between the classical and improvised worlds. His performances include stage sound design with interventions of movement and spoken word. Vollmaier creates music for dance and theater performances.

The ensemble Innertextures, founded in 2002, consists of Igor Lumpert (saxophone), Greg Ward (alto saxophone), Chris Tordini (bass) and Kenny Grohowski (drums). On their European tours they are supported by Matheus Jardim on drums and Masa Kamaguchi on double bass. The eclectic music of Innertextures interweaves musical, personal and intercultural experiences of the ensemble members. It is characterized by complex rhythmic patterns, intricate melodies and improvisations that break down barriers and build bridges.
The group draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including classical music, Eastern European folk music, rhythms and patterns from African-American culture, chamber music and contemporary jazz.
Innertextures has released five albums and the last three albums have been critically acclaimed for their "elusive lightness" and "original funk brilliance". The distinctive harmonies, rhythms influenced by the traditional music of Eastern Europe and the imaginative arrangement of the Bosnian folk song Brela helped push contemporary jazz forward and have been well received by critics and fellow musicians.
