Von der Ohnmacht zur Handlungsmacht

In the organizer's words:

In our 4-hour workshop "From powerlessness to agency: A workshop for people affected by racism", we invite people affected by racism to create a safe and supportive space together. The aim of the workshop is to move away from the feeling of powerlessness caused by right-wing violence and to develop a sense of collective strength.

We start with an open dialog in which participants can share their experiences and feelings - such as fear and insecurity. This creates a basis of understanding and solidarity among the participants.

As the workshop progresses, we turn to utopian thoughts and imaginations. Participants will be encouraged to imagine a more just world and explore ways in which we can move towards this vision together.

Another focus is therefore on reflecting on the power to act. We will discuss how those affected can put up resistance despite experiencing violence and discrimination and bring about positive change in their environment and, above all, in themselves.

Finally, we will provide a space for networking and the exchange of resources. Participants will have the opportunity to connect and stay in touch beyond the workshop.
