The event is aimed at all those who are professionally or privately involved in sustainable consumption and business.

Many of us try to conserve resources in our everyday lives. Sometimes this is a real challenge on an individual level! Can the economy support consumers in this? What does circular economy mean?

The circular economy is morethan justrecycling and material flows: the circular economy also includes the right business models and thinking in terms of values and incentives. Malte Hagertalksabout what circular business models are, how they can support our sustainable actions and what we can demand from companies.

Zero Waste Cologne started in 2018 as a citizens' initiative and has been a registered non-profit association since June 2019. As an association, we are committed to spreadingthe idea of zero waste at all levels ofsociety - politics, education, citizens, companies & gastronomy - and to networking the players. We invite all interested parties to this lecture and to join us in making Cologne more sustainable.

Malte HagerstudiedInternational Economics and InternationalBusiness Strategy and researched strategies and business model innovations in the circular economy for his doctoral thesis. He would like to share his knowledge with others. This is how the cooperation for the lecture with Zero Waste Cologne came about.
