The Wahl.Lokal.StadtBIBLIOTHEK is not only about politics, but also about stories, thoughts and conversations. In the first eight weeks of the calendar, local authors and interpreters invite you to discover democracy and freedom through the lens of literature.

Whether about Finland and Rosa Luxemburg, Hannah Arendt or contemporary voices from the Hanoverian literary scene: you can listen, join in the conversation or simply enjoy the special atmosphere when literature and politics meet. An offer for all those who want to experience democracy between the lines.

The Wahl.Lokal.StadtBIBLIOTHEK will be a central point of contact for the Bundestag elections in Hanover in January and February 2025. Between media, displays and events, citizens will find (almost) everything they need to find out about the election on the entrance level of the city library - in a relaxed, interactive way.
