We carry

A dance piece about carrying things together. About seeing the other generations and about the power that lies in the dialog between these widely divergent times and worlds of experience.

The dancers, aged between 8 and 67, open the luggage of their pasts. There are heavy, light, barely manageable, easy-to-carry packages. Their hands and bodies become surfaces to pick up the weight of these found objects, pass them on, put them down and whirl them around. The boundaries of their pasts become blurred and the packages of the individual become the packages of others. A play about wanting to run away and returning. About looking, even if someone keeps the door closed. About hope and hands that form a net that carries someone on.

The performances on Thursday and Friday will be followed by a discussion of the play with Lina Höhne.
