Tanja Berlin from the blog "Zuckersüße Äpfel" is giving another guest workshop here at Machbar. She's got into the art and technique of block printing and will show you everything you need to know.

You will print at least: one cushion and one tea towel or bag {to choose from} as well as 5 cards and 5 gift tags

Christmas is fast approaching. How about printing gifts such as a cushion and a bag or tea towel for your loved ones yourself? Discover the joy of block printing!

Block printing is a printing technique in which a carved or engraved wooden block is used to print patterns and designs on fabrics and paper. Each printed piece is unique, as small variations can occur in the printing process and in the handmade blocks. This gives each piece an authentic and individual charm.

We will experiment with beautiful wooden stamps and with colors and fabrics and you will print your own cushion and tea towel or bag, 5 cards and 5 gift tags to take home afterwards. You can bring up to two of your own textiles {100% cotton} and print them or purchase more cushions, bags, tea towels, cards and gift tags on site.

The block printing workshop is suitable for beginners and requires no prior knowledge. It is incredibly fun to see how the different patterns are created and it is wonderfully relaxing to print something with your own hands.

The price for this 3-hour workshop is €89.00 (incl. VAT) and includes all materials for the workshop, as well as drinks {water & tea} and snacks. All you need is a desire to be creative.

The minimum number of participants for this workshop is 8. The maximum number of participants is 10.
