When the whole city is filled with the scent of Christmas and lovingly decorated huts offer delicious treats and handicrafts, it's that time of year again: Karlsruhe delights people as a sparkling Christmas city.
A ride on the beautifully illuminated Ferris wheel offers a wonderful view of the market square and over the city. Towards evening, Santa Claus flies over the pyramid, Karlsruhe's landmark, on his reindeer sleigh.
With its colorfully illuminated old trees and large selection of handmade goods as well as the idyllic food areas, Friedrichsplatz also has an unforgettable atmosphere.
On the square next to St. Stephen's Church, the Kinderland with its lovingly staged fairy-tale figures, talking fairy-tale huts and a small steam locomotive invites you to explore an imaginatively designed dreamscape.
A few steps further on, Stadtwerke Karlsruhe WINTERZEIT transforms the historic Schlossplatz into a winter wonderland.The special combination of a large ice rink with a romantic circular path under the trees, the Stock Arena with a view of the palace, festive illuminations and a wide range of food and drink in the cosy winter village offers something for everyone.
In Durlach, the medieval Christmas market and the winter magic on the Turmberg await you.
