Weltkindertag in Wiesbaden

Once a year, around September 20, Wiesbaden celebrates World Children's Day, which is all about children's rights. On Sunday, September 22, all children are invited to the big World Children's Day festival on Wiesbaden's Schlossplatz.

World Children's Day is also celebrated in the state capital of Wiesbaden. This year, all children are invited to the big World Children's Day festival on Sunday, September 22, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wiesbaden's Schlossplatz in front of the town hall.

Numerous institutions, associations and initiatives have come up with an exciting program for World Children's Day: a hands-on circus, soapstone amulets, a tour of the police car, a spinning top workshop, a giant mandala and much more. In keeping with children's right to play, leisure and recreation, the play mobile, bouncy castles, glitter tattoos and face painting are of course also a must on this day.

And, of course, there will also be information, puzzles and discussions about children's rights. It's not just the little visitors who are in demand here.

Parents, grandparents and friends can also find out about offers for families in Wiesbaden at the stands, get into conversation or actively paint, play and get creative together with the children.

There will be a colorful program of dance, music, magic and theater on the large stage in front of the town hall. Three times a day, once around the corner, a short film program for children is shown in the Caligari Filmbühne.

All activities at the Wiesbaden World Children's Day Festival are free of charge!

The event is organized by the Office for Social Work, Youth Work Department, supported by numerous Wiesbaden institutions.
