Ghosts, aliens, monsters ... and lots of bureaucracy: the Institute for Paranormal Phenomena investigates supernatural occurrences in Czechoslovakia in the 1980s. The skeptical veteran David and the idealistic newcomer Vojta usually find all-too-human explanations - and yet the paranormal is much closer than some people think. This tongue-in-cheek, real-life socialist version of the X-FILES mixes retro-futurism with absurd humor and mystery. There is also a pinch of nostalgia and, above all, a lot of love for curious eccentrics.
