WHEN THE SUN STANDS STILL

For six months, from solstice to solstice, the artist Alain Roche will play a piano concert hanging from a crane every morning - in the air 10 meters above the site of the future concert hall in Munich. The sounds of nature are streamed live - via 40 highly sensitive microphones placed in nature throughout Bavaria and Switzerland. Influenced by nature awakening into the day, Roche rewrites his composition a little every day. The daily transformation between day and night, the cyclical rhythm of the seasons and being at the mercy of the forces of nature are the basis and source of inspiration for his music.
