Energetic jazz concert

Wolfgang Hanninger's preference for swing and blues is combined in the European Band with the virtuoso skills of his band colleagues to create an exciting and energetic musical mixture of the highest quality. Despite their preference for the traditional world of jazz, the four young musicians are also connected across the boundaries of musical genres.

With drive, blues and lightness

More than half of the repertoire consists of compositions by band leader Wolfgang Hanninger. Although not exclusively interpreted in a swinging way, swing is a main ingredient of the European Band's music. The pulsating, lively rhythm and the impressive joy of playing are characteristic of the style. The band mates and friends act with passion and an almost blind understanding for each other. The spark of enthusiasm quickly spreads to the audience with drive, blues and ease.

Four virtuoso jazz musicians

Bandleader and saxophonist Wolfgang Hanninger has brought three young and virtuoso musicians into his rhythm section. Will Sach is one of the most versatile bassists on the London scene. Xaver Hellmeier is a convincing versatile drummer who is nevertheless mainly at home in the "straight ahead" style. Despite his young age, pianist Joe Webb has mastered the rare influences of stride piano and the repertoire of Art Tatum or Bud Powell.
