"Wings" - Take off with the Bläserphilharmonie Aachen

Under the direction of Lars Corijn, the Bläserphilharmonie presents its program entitled "Wings". Look forward to an evening full of airy surprises and breathtaking heights.

The Bläserphilharmonie Aachen was founded in 2013 by students of RWTH Aachen University and, despite its still young orchestral history, can already look back on great successes, such as twicewinning a gold medal with distinction at the WMC in Kerkrade, the World Championships for Wind Music, in 2017 and 2022. The orchestra mainly plays original music from symphonic-concertante wind music. This semester's program includes works by Kennet Hesketh, Alfred Reed and the 18-year-old Kobe Janssens. The two main works of these concerts are the Variazioni Sinfoniche Su Non Potho Reposare by Hardy Mertens and The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky.
