"WIR KRIEGEN EUCH ALLE!"

In the organizer's words:

It gets loud, it gets wild, it gets tender. With five former GDR punk musicians, the theater hall becomes a punk concert, youth club, prefab building, fight club, streetcar and TV corner with Mufuti. Dancing is allowed!

"We'll get you all!" shouted neo-Nazis after their victims. This phrase is also the title of an album released in 1991 by the GDR punk band Feeling B. "WIR KRIEGEN EUCH ALLE!" is now the title of a performance about the last days of the GDR and the chaotic and violent years that followed reunification. A time that is currently being remembered under the hashtag #baseballschlägerjahre. The production examines these years of sheer anarchy and the consequences they had for civil society and the generation of those who were young at the time. The play also describes the resistance against the right-wingers, how it took place and how it was organized.
Juliane Meckert and Diana Wesser span a temporal arc across the intersections of political identities, from the Nazi era to the present day, and have founded a "contemporary witness band" together with five former GDR punk musicians. Hans Narva (Herbst in Peking & The Inchtabokatables), Key Pankonin (Die Firma & Ichfunktion), Titus Jany (The Inchtabokatables), Bernd Stracke (L'Attentat & Wutanfall) and Torsten "Pegman" Füchsel (Rosengarten & B.Crown) take to the stage together and transform the LOFFT into a punk concert, youth club, Plattenbau, fight club, streetcar and TV corner with Mufuti.
The reality of life in the East has long been dismissed as a subsection of German history and not perceived as all-German. The project "WIR KRIEGEN EUCH ALLE!" is an attempt to highlight the relevance of these experiences and close a memory gap in historiography. Personal stories make the topic visible and at the same time contrast the image of the "miserable Ossis" with a powerful and joyful narrative.

"[...] A very long, entertaining, clever production [...] about a piece of German contemporary, mental and violent history. And about a music and attitude to life that vehemently gives it the finger. Then, as now."

Steffen Georgi, Leipziger Volkszeitung (19.11.2022)
