This year, Botanic Gardens Week is all about the large Fabaceae family. It includes beans, lentils and peas - everyone knows them as domestic crops. But there are many other impressive members of the Fabaceae family: Food plants, dye plants, spices, remedies, valuable timber and garden beauties. Their coexistence with ants, the topic of "nitrogen fixation" and the fascinating leaf movements of the mimosa are also exciting.

The Botanical Gardens Week invites you to get to know the impressive world of Fabaceae and discover their diversity in the garden.
