Workshop: Of cats and computers - DIY quantum experiments
The word quantum, e.g. as part of quantum computers, has been around for a long time. But what is it actually all about? Is it all sci-fi? What are quanta anyway, what does it have to do with this one cat and what can we use them (the quanta, not the cats) for? We want to get to the bottom of these questions together with you. At the beginning of the workshop, we will give you a little insight into the quantum world. Afterwards, you will follow in the footsteps of famous scientists and build your own quantum experiments.
If you're worried about your physics skills: don't worry, curiosity is all you need.
The HRW FabLab offers...
a place for prototyping, tinkering, learning and teaching on 600 square meters. In addition to students and start-ups, pupils and anyone else who would like to realize their projects in the Fablab with 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC milling machines, sewing machines or one of the other numerous machines are also welcome. In the two BMBF-funded joint projects "QuantumMiniLabs" and "Quantum Technology Fablab", the Fablab team is working together with its project partners to make quantum technology understandable for everyone.
