VACT

At the tender age of 12, Vact discovered his passion for music when he experimented with the "eJay 360 Xtreme" demo version from a Kellogg's Frosties packet.

Little did he know that many years later he would be enchanting dancefloors with hip hop, RnB, reggaeton, baile funk, house, afrobeats and amapiano as a DJ and releasing music as a producer. Vact released his first album, The Ugly Swimsuit, in 2019, a longplayer characterized by lo-fi and sample-based hip-hop beats, which shows another introspective facet of his musical work in addition to his djing. As with his work as a conductor and teacher of the traditional angklung, a unique Indonesian orchestral instrument, which he devotes himself to alongside his work as a DJ and producer. With the "Angklung Hamburg Orchestra" he brings this cultural tradition closer to a wider audience.

What makes Vact special is his attention to detail - be it in creative transitions or in-depth research into samples and music history. Whether in music production or djing, he loves to track down lores, Wikipedia entries, producer credits and hidden Easter eggs in pieces of music and incorporate them into his sets. In addition, he always pays attention to the audience's reaction and feedback in order to make each set unique and lively - nerdiness, precision and interaction are Vact's trademarks.

EROS

EROS approach to his music is characterized by a blend of cultures that allows him to respectfully break the boundaries between genres. As part of the Angolan diaspora, his curations are steeped in homages to his country of origin - and to the continent as a whole. But that's not all: the Hamburg DJ always has an open ear for the next mix and is always on the lookout for something new.
