Zeichenzirkel mit Jan Pötter

We invite everyone who would like to draw or learn to draw together to our drawing circle. Led by artists from Leipzig and the surrounding area, the circle enables an open exchange about the medium of drawing. Various techniques will be tried out: Sometimes closer to the traditional concept of drawing, sometimes further away from it. As a rule, the artistic direction of the drawing circle changes every eight weeks.

In January, the Leipzig painter Jan Pötter will exceptionally lead the drawing circle for a month. Pötter already did this in March and April 2024 and will now pick up where he left off in his January program. The focus will be on free and intuitive drawing and painting. In the course, Pötter invites course participants to explore the relationship between figuration and abstraction through painting and drawing. The focus is always on the search for the individual artistic expression of each participant. Jan Pötter teaches techniques and methods that can also be applied after the end of the course in order to achieve free and autonomous visual languages.

Jan Pötter studied painting and drawing at the AKI Academy of Art & Design in Enschede, the Netherlands, from 2008 to 2012.
