In its program, the Reeperbahn Festival combines a diverse line-up of new, international talents with the thematic diversity of a progressive music marketplace. Events of the most diverse kind are waiting to enthrall and inspire fans, journalists and trade visitors in numerous venues. Since its debut in 2006, the Reeperbahn Festival has developed into one of the most important meeting points for the music world and shows how an exuberant musical line-up can be combined with music business interests and civil society commitment.

In addition to concerts by international artists, the program also includes formats from the visual arts or virtual reality, as well as a thematically diverse range of films and literature. The central hub for this is the Festival Village on the Heiligengeistfeld. Within the framework of sessions, showcases, networking events and award shows, visitors to the Reeperbahn Festival can think, experience and listen to music in a new way.

The dialogue between artists, audience and music industry is particularly visible at the Reeperbahn Festival Opening, which brings current music-relevant and socio-political topics on stage with high-ranking live acts and well-known guests from music, entertainment and politics, or as a lead partner of the Keychange initiative, which campaigns for gender equality in music. The ANCHOR - Reeperbahn Festival International Music Award with its six-member jury serves as a predicate for young bands and artists on their way to an international career and as a guide for fans and musicians in their search for the best new music.

Due to the long-standing close ties of the internal staff of the Reeperbahn Festival with the music industry and the related creative industries, a constantly up-to-date, high-quality and diverse program is guaranteed.
