Feinkost in Leipzig is a real hotspot for anyone who loves culture, creativity and a bit of alternative vibes. You'll find it at Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 36, right in the heart of the trendy Karli district in Südvorstadt. Historically, the delicatessen has seen a lot. Originally founded as a brewery in 1853, the site was used for the production of canned food from the 1920s onwards. After the Second World War, canned food production continued and became known as VEB Leipziger Feinkost during the GDR era. After reunification, the site stood empty until artists and creative people rediscovered it and founded the Feinkost cooperative in 2004 to preserve the site as a cultural and commercial center.

What makes Feinkost so special is not only the historic buildings, but also the variety of events and the creative flair. A flea market is held here every first Saturday of the month, where you can discover real treasures. In summer, the inner courtyard is transformed into an open-air cinema where you can watch movies in the open air. There are also regular theater performances and other cultural events that make the area a lively meeting place.
