The Allegro in the Kreuzviertel between Gildenpark and police headquarters has been around for what feels like forever. Now Moni has given it a new concept. For the operator, "new" actually means something more like "back to basics. The kitchen works mainly with organic food, while the meat comes exclusively from a butcher in Dortmund.

A second pillar of the reorientation shows up on Sunday and will please all late risers: From 10 to 17 (!) Clock there is now delicious breakfast or brunch. In addition to classics such as scrambled eggs, you can also expect delicious combination plates with pastrami, jam or a large selection of cheeses. Add a freshly squeezed orange juice and an oat milk cappuccino and we're in seventh heaven!

Oriental touch with the dishes

There's also a lunch menu in addition to coffee and cake. And believe us: the guys from the kitchen conjure up mega delicious dishes on the table. The new chef has brought a breath of fresh air to the menu, which now has an oriental touch. And in the evening you can enjoy a cold beer and other tasty drinks as usual.

The interior has also changed: the colorful chairs, fancy tables and bright wall colors remind us a bit of a cool hostel. This may sound loud and cluttered at first, but it all fits together. In fact, it creates a wonderfully relaxed, cozy atmosphere that continues to have that globetrotting charm to it.

Flowers and a permanent grin for the cheerful atmo

By the way, the back room in the old drive-through can be booked for events and private parties like weddings and birthdays.

Fresh flowers on the tables complete the cheerful picture. Whereby... Actually that's Moni! She takes very good care of her guests and when she shows up at the table with her warm nature as well as her contagious grin, the visit is perfect!

Sitting comfortably outside: The small backyard offers a quiet atmosphere and the tables on the sidewalk in front of the Allegro give street café flair, although there are rather few cars on the road!
