One of the lesser-known but still absolutely worthwhile lakes is the bathing area at the northern tip of Allermöher See. This lake offers a peaceful and natural environment, ideal for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

You can reach Allermöher See both by car and by public transport. From Hamburg Central Station, take the S-Bahn to Allermöhe station or bus 12 in the direction of Billstedt to the Wilhelm-Osterhold-Stieg stop. From there, it is only a short walk to the northern tip of the lake. There are also plenty of parking spaces nearby for drivers.

The clean water and well-tended lawns are perfect for sunbathing and relaxing. A small playground nearby ensures that even the youngest visitors get their money's worth and there are showers, toilets and even barbecue facilities. A lifeguard is on duty from June to August at weekends between 2 pm and 7 pm and daily between 2 pm and 7 pm during the summer vacations.
