Stop: Leyendecker Str.

The non-profit Cologne art association artrmx was founded in 2006 to bring contemporary art to the people and to promote extraordinary exhibition concepts. artrmx [a:trı'mıks] stands for the networking of different artistic activities and styles as well as for the networking of creative people among each other. Since January 2013, the association has been operating a 180 square meter exhibition space with eleven studios in the Atelierzentrum Ehrenfeld (AZE).

"Milky dreams and pearly wheels"

For the second time, a cultural exchange between artists from NRW and Iceland is taking place with this group exhibition. The works by Lukas Bury, Clair Paugam, Una Magnusdottir and Berglind Jóna Hlynsdottir deal with the blurred image of the expectations of a journey. Whether it is an everyday escape or an exile, it is about the intersections between the familiar and the unusual or even the uncanny. The focus is on the examination of the perception of the outside world and how this can be alienated. In the process, perspectives are shifted and realities dangerously blur into fiction. The exhibition is curated by Christopher Gerberding (Cologne) and Claire Paugam (Reykjavik).
