The Department of Music at Bremen University of the Arts (HfK) is located in the heart of Bremen's old town. Located in a former school building on Dechanatstraße, the listed building has concert and music halls, ensemble and teaching rooms, modern practice rooms, a music cellar and a canteen. There is even an old observatory and an organ tower on Dechanatstrasse. With over 300 public concerts of all musical genres each year, the Department of Music makes a significant contribution to the city's cultural offerings.
