G2 Kunsthalle

Since its foundation in 2015, the G2 Kunsthalle has permanently and publicly exhibited works from the Hildebrand private collection with a focus on contemporary painting in Leipzig, including renowned artists such as Neo Rauch, Matthias Weischer, David Schnell and Rosa Loy as well as up-and-coming artists at the beginning of their artistic careers. The collection is complemented by important works by national and international artists such as Miriam Cahn, Wolfgang Tillmans, Thomas Ruff, Norbert Bisky, Jeanette Mundt and Thomas Saraceno. In 2022, the G2 Kunsthalle doubled its space by a further floor to over 2,200 m2. By installing an open depot wall system surrounded by classic exhibition space, the G2 Schaulager offers a multifaceted platform for the exhibition, dialog and exchange of important works of contemporary art.
