What was life like almost a hundred years ago? In the Paul-Schwellenbach-Haus, the GAG has set up a museum apartment that conveys the feeling of living in the 1920s. This includes the roasting tube in the kitchen as well as a no less unusual-looking object: a refrigerator from the beginning of the 20th century. At that time, the refrigerator was cooled with a block of ice, which was placed in the furniture from above.
