Stop: Cologne Trade Fair / Deutz, Deutzer Freiheit

The museum-like urban space on the right bank of the Rhine presents the more than 1,700-year history of the second-oldest part of Cologne's city center in original settings. In the Förderverein Historischer Park Deutz e.V. (FHPD), Cologne residents have been working voluntarily for more than 12 years to communicate the history of the right bank of the Rhine and Deutz archaeology. Deutz has a lot to tell at the 20 stations in the Historical Park and in the 1,000-year-old cellar vaults of the medieval Abbey of St. Heribert. These cellars with medieval and baroque vaults on Roman fort walls will be opened to the public during the Museum Night.
