Horns Erben is a store with a lot of history. Concerts, readings and theater performances take place on the stage. A good mix of culture and food.

The finest schnapps, exquisite wines and fine liqueurs have been available at Arndtstraße 33 since the turn of the century. At the age of 24, Wilhelm Horn founded his spirits company, which was entered in the commercial register of the city of Leipzig in the winter of 1923. Three years later, the young entrepreneur buys an old sparkling wine cellar at Arndtstrasse 33, producing in the cellar and serving upstairs: "Horns Weinstube" is the flagship of a total of 46 branches.

After the war, business continued successfully until 1972, when the socialist state intervened: expropriation. A final restart in 1991. A small factory outlet from the Wilhelm Horn company remains to this day. At the end of 2004, four students discovered the historic premises and brought new life to the old wine bar as "Horns Erben".

Today, Horns Erben Kultur e.V. is the voluntary operator of the cultural venue. It is managed by the two founding members Claudius Bruns and Robert Herrmann.
