Fair trade and the organic cultivation of coffee has always been an important topic in our roasting plant. Dr. Münchhausen-Prüße made her first trip to Honduras in October 2003 to find out more about this topic and to assess the actual feasibility of projects in this area. She experienced the product coffee in its entirety, literally from the plant to the cup, and learned about the processing work and efforts that are already necessary in the countries of origin of the coffee.
Since then, we have regularly traveled to the countries of origin to see for ourselves the conditions for the farmers there and how the coffee is processed. These efforts are very important to us, as our enjoyment depends directly on these people - without coffee farmers, no coffee.
