The location at Karolinenstraße 45 is located in the heart of Hamburg in the immediate vicinity of the exhibition grounds. The neo-Gothic brick building from the 19th century offers space for a wide variety of event formats with various rooms on 4 floors. The location used to serve as the administrative building of the "Karoline" coal-fired power station. In the 1990s, the building was partially demolished to make way for Lagerstrasse. Since 2015, after a long vacancy, the Karoline has been used as a versatile cultural and event venue.
