We are the stage for professional theater for young audiences in Essen. Award-winning ensembles present their plays here, which also attract national attention.

With our workshops, theater camps and the "Future City" summer art camp, cultural education is firmly anchored in our profile. Here, artists work together with young people as equals and support them in their own artistic work.

We give children, teenagers and young adults the freedom to create their own work. In and around the building.
We are aimed at daycare centers, schools and other institutions as well as mixed-age audiences. We not only put on plays, but also concerts, dance theater, performances, readings and experiments.

Before and after the performances, we get into conversation with each other, answer questions and provide a glimpse behind the scenes.
We see ourselves as a training ground for the imaginative muscle across social, cultural and generational boundaries. A place that artists and audiences are constantly reshaping together.
