The exhibition house of the Falckenberg Collection in the Phoenix Fabrikhallen in Hamburg-Harburg was opened in 2008 and has been an important part of the Deichtorhallen Hamburg since 2011. The private collection of Harald Falckenberg, which focuses on German and American contemporary art from the 1980s onwards, is presented on over 6,000 square meters and five floors.

The rooms of the listed factory building, redesigned by Berlin architect Roger Bundschuh, provide the architectural framework for the collection. The cascading staircase and the open design constantly provide new perspectives on the works of art in the current themed and special exhibitions. The generous spatial concept enables the permanent presentation of impressive installations and multimedia projects by artists such as John Bock, Anna Oppermann, Thomas Hirschhorn, Mike Kelley, Jon Kessler, Jonathan Meese and Gregor Schneider.
